Help and Installing
Windows:
- Add your mapy installation folder to path environment.
- Based on your favorite editor, read one of the folowing tutorials:
- Installing mapy with SciTE.
- Installing mapy with Eclipse.
- Installing mapy with UltraEdit.
- Installing mapy with Textpad.
- Installing mapy with Notepad++.
- Installing mapy with CrimsonEditor.
- More tutorials will be available in few days.
- Command line mode:
- You can also drag and drop your script file in mapy's icon.
- Use command shell:
- mapy <path to your file>
- mapy -pn <command port number> <path to your file>
- mapy -help
- mapy -check
Maya Shelf:
- You can also run mapy inside maya. A python script is provided for this purpose. You can download it Here . Just add your favorite editor's installation folder to System Path.
Linux:
- Install:
Copy rodmena.com folder to /usr/local folder. If you use other location, MAPY WILL NOT WORK. - Usage:
python /usr/local/rodmena.com/mapy/mapy <path to your .py or .mel file> or use python /usr/local/rodmena.com/mapy/mapy -pn <command port> <path to your file> - You can setup any script editor with mapy under Linux.
