Casebound keeps a matter’s documents, emails, notes, key dates, parties and history together in one case file, shown in the order things happened. Lawyers and caseworkers file email straight into the matter and record their time against it. Bills and work in progress post to RODMENA Ledger.

- Single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID, using the organisation’s own multi-factor rules.

- Each organisation’s data is kept apart in the database itself.

- Up to 5 GB each. Casebound encrypts every file before it reaches storage, which is in the UK.

Email filing
Save an email to a matter and its attachments become documents of their own.

Document versions
A lawyer checks a document out to edit it and checks it back in as a new version. Colleagues can see who has it. A supervisor can override a check-out, and Casebound records the override with its reason.

Fast search
Search covers every matter, document and email. O’Neill, ONeill and O Neill find each other, and so do Ó Briain and O Briain. A misspelt name, party or client still finds its match.

Confidential matters
Only the people added to a confidential matter can see it, and the database enforces that. To anyone else, a hidden matter looks like one that does not exist.

Tamper-evident audit trail
Every change, sign-in, search and download goes into a hash chain, and its latest link is copied outside the database every few minutes. Once an entry is anchored, nobody can alter it without the check failing, even with full database access.

Time and billing
Fee earners record time with a timer or in bulk, and rates keep their history. Bills and work in progress post to RODMENA Ledger, which reconciles them against Casebound.

Dashboard
The dashboard shows open matters and their stages, upcoming deadlines, recent activity, each fee earner’s workload and billing.
