Steward gives a UK employer one place for staff records, the organisation structure and absence. Employees see their own details and leave balances and book time off. Their line manager approves or declines the request from an approvals inbox, and the team calendar shows who is away.

Who it is for. UK employers. The buyer is usually the HR lead or the operations director. Employees and line managers are the day-to-day users.

Known gap
On the sign-in and sample organisation pages, the outlines of the person cards, the theme toggle and the secondary buttons reach 1.1 to 1.4:1 contrast, below the 3:1 that WCAG 1.4.11 asks for. Text contrast on those pages passes, at 5.67:1 or more. The fix is in progress.

    Each employee has a workspace with their details, their absence balances and requests, and the tasks waiting for them.

  • People directory

    Find a colleague and see their role, team and manager.

  • Organisation

    Browse the organisation unit by unit, with each unit’s head and headcount.

  • Absence

    Request leave, check the balance left for the year and see the team calendar. The manager approves or declines the request.

  • Approvals

    One inbox for the decisions waiting for you. A task on your workspace links straight to the request it refers to.

  • Sample organisation

    Anyone can open Nullbridge Fixture Ltd, a sample organisation, and use Steward as an employee, a line manager or an HR caseworker. Its people and data are fictitious.
