Questions buyers ask
What a supplier assessment asks us
You can read our answers to the questions a supplier suitability assessment asks here, before you ask them.
Can you provide two references for contracts of similar size and scope?
We do not discuss our clients or revenue in public. We share them with buyers privately, during their evaluation.
Alongside that, here is what we offer and will put in a contract:
- A technical session with the engineers who would do the work, before you commit to anything.
- Access to our own systems as a reference environment. The platforms on this site run this company, and you can look at them.
- A paid pilot at a scope you set, with the success test agreed in writing before it starts.
- Stage payments against delivered milestones. You are never exposed beyond the last thing we handed over.
What happens if your director is unavailable?
The systems are the handover.
RODMENA is led by its director, Farshid Ashouri. Engineering is done by contract engineers, the team grows with the work, and knowledge transfer is part of how we operate.
We write operating knowledge down as it is produced, and credentials and access are held in a way that lets the work continue without any one person:
- Our platforms document themselves in our knowledge base, the system of record for operational documentation across the estate.
- Because our continuous integration builds and records the releases of our platforms, a deployment can be reproduced without the person who made it.
- Credentials are held in Haven, and access does not depend on one laptop.
- Commercial records are in Trace, and the books are in Ledger.
- Credentials and access are also available to a person holding a power of attorney if the director cannot work, as set out in our Business Continuity Policy.
We can show you all of this on the day.
Can you provide three years of filed accounts?
Alongside our accounts filed at Companies House, we offer the standard assurances.
RODMENA is funded by its director. There is no external investment and no debt, and no investor, lender or other third party has interests that sit between us and a customer. The company does not depend on winning any particular contract to keep operating.
Where a contract calls for more financial assurance than the filed accounts show, we offer the standard routes:
- A director’s guarantee.
- A performance bond.
- Escrow of source code and deployment material.
- Stage payments against delivered milestones.
Do you use subcontractors, and where are they?
Yes. Delivery is by contract engineers engaged by RODMENA in the UK.
Where a contract requires it, we name the subcontractors who would have access to your systems or data before the work begins. They are engaged under the confidentiality and data-protection terms that bind us, and under our access controls.
The third parties that process data on our own estate are listed with their purpose and location in the sub-processor table on the Trust Centre.
Do your staff hold security clearance?
Not at present.
Nobody at RODMENA currently holds BPSS, SC or a DBS check. Where a contract requires clearance, we tell you at bid stage so you can plan the timetable around it. We then sponsor and complete the clearance before that work starts.
If clearance is a condition of participation for your procurement, tell us at the earliest stage and we will confirm whether we can meet the timetable.
What insurance do you hold?
Cyber, professional indemnity, public liability and employer’s liability insurance are in place.
Cyber insurance in place. Evidence available on request from security@rodmena.co.uk.
The policy comes with our Cyber Essentials certificate and runs for the same period. Subject to its terms and limit, it pays for incident response, the costs of handling a cyber incident (legal advice, IT forensics, data recovery, notifying affected people and public relations), loss of income while our systems are interrupted, data protection investigations and fines (where the law permits), and claims from third parties after a data breach or security failure. It does not cover money stolen through cyber-crime or invoice fraud, and it is not professional indemnity or public liability cover.
Professional indemnity, public liability and employer’s liability cover is in place under one policy with CFC Underwriting, for Lloyd’s syndicates. Cover is placed to the limits a contract requires and evidenced before signature.
Alongside insurance, risk is managed through our Cyber Essentials certification, our published security, continuity and quality policies, and limits agreed in each contract before signature.
The current status of each policy is published on the Trust Centre.
Can we buy from you through a government agreement?
RODMENA is an appointed supplier on the Government Commercial Agency’s Artificial Intelligence Dynamic Purchasing System (RM6200).
We were appointed on 7 October 2026, and the agreement runs until 23 February 2029. UK public-sector buyers can invite us to their competitions under the agreement and award contracts through it.
We are also registered on the Central Digital Platform, and buyers can retrieve our supplier information with the share code on the company page.
The Trust Centre lists the other Government Commercial Agency agreements on which we are an appointed supplier, with their dates and links to the agreement pages.
