Equality & Diversity Policy
Purpose
RODMENA LIMITED is committed to equality of opportunity and to an environment free from discrimination, harassment and victimisation — in employment, engagement of contractors, and delivery of services. This policy reflects the Equality Act 2010.
Commitments
- No one receives less favourable treatment because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
- Recruitment and engagement decisions are made on merit, against objective criteria.
- Reasonable adjustments are made for disabled candidates, workers and users of our services — our public website is built to WCAG 2.2 AA (see our accessibility statement).
- Harassment or bullying in any form is not tolerated, whether by or towards staff, contractors, customers or suppliers.
- Concerns are handled seriously, confidentially and without reprisal.
Equal opportunities
RODMENA LIMITED is an equal opportunities employer and business. We give everyone an equal chance, judged on what they can do, in:
- recruitment and selection
- pay and conditions
- promotion and development
- training
- choosing subcontractors and suppliers
- how we treat our clients and the people we work with
We do not discriminate on any of the characteristics protected by the Equality Act 2010: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly can raise it with the director, or use our Speak-Up (whistleblowing) route, without fear of retaliation.
Responsibilities
The Director owns this policy, models the behaviour it requires, and reviews it at least annually. Concerns can be raised directly or via legal@rodmena.co.uk.
