Health and Safety Policy
Purpose
RODMENA LIMITED takes the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone who works for it seriously. A business with fewer than five employees is not required by law to write its health and safety policy down. We publish ours anyway, so that clients and the people who work with us know what to expect.
Where we work
We work from our office in London and remotely. We have no premises open to the public, no fleet and no manufacturing.
What we do
- Workstations: everyone who uses a screen regularly completes a display screen equipment self-assessment, and we fix what it finds, for example with a better chair, screen position or lighting.
- Breaks and workload: people take regular breaks from the screen, and workload is planned so that nobody works unreasonable hours. Anyone can raise a workload concern with the director at any time.
- Working alone: people who work alone keep someone informed of where they are when they travel or visit a site.
- Travel: rail first within Great Britain.
- Client sites: when we work at a client's premises, we follow that client's own site rules and inductions.
- Wellbeing: we treat mental health like physical health, and anyone who needs adjustments or time can ask.
- Incidents and near misses: any accident, injury or near miss is reported to the director, recorded, and acted on.
Subcontractors
Anyone who works on our behalf, including subcontractors, is expected to meet the same standards.
Review
The director owns this policy and reviews it at least annually.
